She had two second place finishes in France to start her three-year-old year, including a stakes race at Cagnes-sur-mer. She joined the As One stable in March 2023 and looks to grow on her success in the U.S. Bolivie is trained under the watchful eye of 2023 Kentucky Oaks winning trainer Brendan Walsh. Last Race

After hitting the board with her big effort in stakes company in the Indiana General Assembly Distaff, Bolivie took on competitive field in the Ladies Turf Mile on Ky Downs Preview weekend at Ellis Park on Sunday, August 4. With a spot in the $1.5M Grade 3 Ladies Turf Stakes at Kentucky Downs on the line, the race drew a full field of 14 quality horses.

Jockey Jaime Torres had Bolivie sitting mid pack where she likes to race, waiting to close down the stretch. Unfortunately, between a moderate pace and high quality competition, it was tough to close down the stretch. Bolivie put in a good effort and finished in the middle of the pack in a solid seventh place.

Next Race

Staying at the stakes level, Bolivie is entered in the Jeff Ruby One Dreamer Stakes at Kentucky Downs on Thursday, September 5. The European style turf course in Franklin, Kentucky has some of the biggest purses in racing, with the One Dreamer being no exception and carrying a purse of $500,000 including incentives.

As you would expect, big purses bring full, high quality fields. Bolivie will face 11 other fillies and mares in the 1 mile, 70 yard race. World class jockey Frankie Dettori will ride for As One in the feature race carded as Race 9 with a scheduled post time of 4:51 p.m. CT.
